stream of conciousness

Otter.ai

I was having difficulty coming up with a story, so I said whatever came to mind into Otter.ai. It was basically a stream of conciousness and the program transcribed me talking about these experiences, to which I used as a baseline for my narrative.

oblique strategies

  1. Look at the order in which you do things.
  2. I took this prompt quite literally. But I thought it be an interesting idea to write a story based on step-by-step activity. The process of going out for a walk can come about absentmindedly but to break it down into some sort of system intrigued me a lot.

  3. Once the search is in progress, something will be found.
  4. At the start of the walk, the oc remembers the tree from their previous walk, but can't remember where it exactly was. As the oc keeps walking, they pay more attention to their surroundings and through familiar landmarks, they find the tree!

  5. Remove ambiguities and convert to specifics.
  6. This is how I started writing in a stream of conciousness. The whole narrative is basically every thought that would come to mind, going into the specifics of experiencing anything.

anagram generator

I typed in "stream of conciousness" and one outcome from the generator that I like is "A Sciences Of Monstrous" to which I put into botnik.org to continue the narrative for the podcasst segment. I also sent through "Passion Hikaru Utada" to generate "A Naiad Haiku Sprouts," for the new song title and artist name that the oc listens to.

botnik.org

I was intrigued by the "Medical Anomalies" source words as I felt it relates to the generated anagram "A Sciences of Monstrous..." I pasted in the anagram and continued on with the predictive words given. I thought it fit in well as an excerpt from a podcast the oc is listening to while on their walk.

n+7

One of my favorite songs to listen to is "Passion" by Hikaru Utada. The song and the meaning of it is already quite beautiful. With the relevance of listening to music on a walk, I pasted the lyrics into n+7 and it generated some strangely poetic outcomes. I picked parts that stood out to me and compiled them into charNG and from there generated new, made-up song lyrics.

charNG

This helped with the rearrangement of my outcomes from n+7. From charNG, I was able to find an arrangement that flows pretty well. The oc remembers the words to A Naiad's "Haiku Sprouts" by heart.
